Ubiquitin specific protease 11 (USP11) exhibits widespread RNA expression across the human CNS, with levels being moderate in the other organs (testis, thyroid etc). In the mouse, predominant distribution is noted in blood vessels throughout the forebrain while additional staining is seen in neuronal cells from the forebrain (in cortical and septal areas among others) and few other areas of the hindbrain.
