Widespread and general moderate-strong intensity diffuse-synaptic immunostaining is noticed in the granular layer of the olfactory bulb and in the vast majority of the entire forebrain, with the exception of the medial septum, globus pallidus and thalamus.
Virtually no staining is noticed in the midbrain and pons.
Weak somatic cytoplasmic neuronal immunostaining is noticed in multiple thalamic nuclei and in the anterior and tuberal hypothalamus.
Strong somatic cytoplasmic neuronal immunostaining is noticed in the locus coeruleus n. fasciculuis and n. ambiguus neurons in the medulla.
